JANANI works with handwoven, block-printed, and
artisan-crafted fabrics — each one sourced by
region, chosen for how it wears through pregnancy
and daily life.
These fabrics have a character that grows with
washing. To preserve that:
Hand wash in cold water. Use a mild detergent —
no harsh chemicals near natural dyes or woven
surfaces.
Do not wring. Gently press out water and hang
in shade to dry.
Iron on medium heat on the reverse side. Keep
steam away from block-printed or embroidered
surfaces.
For heavily embellished pieces — dry clean or
spot clean only.
These are not fast-fashion fabrics. They are
made to last when treated with a little care.
Most JANANI pieces can be customised at no
extra charge.
Length adjustments — shorter or longer than
the standard cut. Specify in centimetres if
possible.
Sleeve additions — half sleeve or full sleeve
added to sleeveless styles.
