Maternity size guide.

Size guide
Your size. Right now.
Not the size you used to be.
Your body is changing. Our sizes are designed for that. Measure yourself today — not your memory of what you once were.
How to measure yourself
Use a soft tape measure. Stand naturally. Breathe out gently before reading. Do not pull the tape tight.
1
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest. Keep the tape parallel to the floor. Leave room for one finger — do not pull tight.
If pregnant: measure as you are today, not your pre-pregnancy size.
2
Waist
Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part, just above your navel. Bend to one side first to find where your torso naturally creases.
If pregnant or postpartum: skip waist. Use bust and hip measurements only to find your size.
3
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat — usually 18–23 cm below your natural waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
Postpartum: hips may be wider than pre-pregnancy. Measure as you are right now.
4
Chest (for gowns only)
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, tape comfortably snug. This measurement is used for maternity gown sizing only.
See the Maternity Gowns section below for the gown-specific chart.

Size chart
India sizes first. EU and UK shown as reference only.
These are body measurements — not garment measurements. Measure your own body and find your number below. The finished garment will be cut larger because ease allowance is built in (±5 cm on bust, waist, and hip) so it drapes and moves comfortably. If you measure the garment flat and it appears bigger than the chart — that is intentional and correct.
Key rule: If your bust and hip measurements fall in different columns — always choose the larger size. When in doubt, size up. A size larger drapes beautifully. A size smaller restricts.

Maternity gown sizing
Gowns are sized using chest measurement — not bust. Measure snugly around the fullest part of your chest. All measurements in inches.
These are body measurements — not garment measurements. Measure your chest and match to the chart. The finished gown will be cut with ease so it drapes and flows on your body.
Gown lengths
Midi
48 inches
Hits around mid-calf. Comfortable for everyday wear and hospital gowns. The most practical length for recovery and daily movement.
Maxi
53 inches
Full-length, flowy. Ideal for maternity shoots, events, and special occasions — the Élan occasion length.
Length note: Length may vary slightly depending on dress pattern, style, and custom requirements.

Seam allowance: Each gown has approximately 1.5 inch side seam allowance — this allows comfortable adjustment up to the next size. With careful alterations, gowns can sometimes be extended up to two sizes larger.
Gown measurements
How to use: Find your chest measurement in the highlighted Chest row. That column is your gown size. If between sizes, choose the larger.

Sizing for your body right now
Standard size charts were not built for pregnant and postpartum bodies. These four notes were written specifically for you.
🤰
During pregnancy
Always measure as you are today — not your pre-pregnancy size. In your third trimester, size up one from your measurement result. Our garments have 5 cm of ease built into bust and hip.
🌿
Postpartum — Held recovery wear
Size using hip measurement only. Recovery garments sit below the scar zone — waist measurement is not relevant. If between sizes, always size up. The body is healing. Give it room.
🤱
While nursing
Size by your bust at its largest — usually just before a feed. Our nursing openings are designed for ease regardless of how your cup size changes week to week. Do not size down.
📏
Between sizes?
If bust and hip fall in different columns — always go with the larger. A size larger drapes beautifully on a changing body. A size smaller restricts. When in doubt, size up.

Fit tolerance
Our garments are made with a small tolerance built into every measurement. If your body measurement falls within the tolerance range of a size, that size will fit you well.
What this means: Premium garment construction always includes tolerance. A ±5 cm tolerance on bust means if your bust is 93 cm and the size M bust is 96 cm, size M will still fit you well.
