Kedar takes its name from the raga that evokes mountains — vast, still, unmoving. This dress carries that same quiet scale: a bright chartreuse dobby cotton, woven through with small mustard dots, marked by fine purple piping that runs the full length of the dress like ridgelines down a slope.
A notched V-neckline sits clean at the collarbone, with vertical seams — each traced in the same purple piping — running from shoulder to hem. Sleeveless through the arms, with a concealed zip at the side seam for easy nursing access. The silhouette falls loose and unbroken, straight to the ankle.
The boldest color in the set, held together by the most understated line — a dress built the way its raga is built: simple, and completely itself.

These fabrics have a character that grows with
washing. To preserve that:
Hand wash in cold water. Use a mild detergent —
no harsh chemicals near natural dyes or woven
surfaces.
Do not wring. Gently press out water and hang
in shade to dry.
Iron on medium heat on the reverse side. Keep
steam away from block-printed or embroidered
surfaces.
For heavily embellished pieces — dry clean or
spot clean only.
These are not fast-fashion fabrics. They are
made to last when treated with a little care.
Most JANANI pieces can be customised at no
extra charge.
Length adjustments — shorter or longer than
the standard cut. Specify in centimetres if
possible.
Sleeve additions — half sleeve or full sleeve
added to sleeveless styles.
